Bertrand Doeuk, Director of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia, and founder of Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic, leads our organisation, to ensure the highest quality of service, helping those with all forms of acute and chronic injuries.
In two consecutive years, 2016 and 2017, his clinics were nominated as a finalist in the Australian Small Business Awards for outstanding and professional services in the health industry.
In 2016 Bertrand was also awarded as winner of Multicultural Young Business Person of the Year by Lord Mayor Graeme Quirk. This was conferred due to the outstanding services his clinic has obtained in treating and managing the community with chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
In 2017 Bertrand was an Australian Finalist in the HESTA Primary Healthcare Awards for the dedication and professionalism in working as a primary health care provider for Australia.
In 2018, the clinic was nominated as a finalist in the Optus national “Health Services Business of the Year.”
Finally and most recently, in 2022, Bertrand was a finalist in the Australian Allied Health Awards, placing him in the top 5 Allied Health Practitioners in the nation!
Bertrand has been titled as “Certified Practitioner” by two internationally recognised manual therapy institutions: Mulligan Concepts and Watson Headache Clinic & Institution. With these added manual therapy skills, he has been able to help countless patients recover from disabling ailments.
Bertrand also assists in facilitating and teaching the Mulligan Concept Course which is taught throughout Australia. These post-graduate courses assist physiotherapists and other allied health practitioners to treat musculoskeletal injuries. Bertrand was nominated for ‘Physiotherapy excellence of the year’ by Quest Business Achiever Awards in 2012 for his role in delivering excellent services to his patients.
Bertrand has trained in several hospitals and musculoskeletal clinics throughout Queensland. With the skills acquired over many years of study and research, Bertrand has since established Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia, and Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic.
His patients are always guaranteed to receive the best quality of care. He loves what he does as he has helped change the lives of many of his patients through many bodily dysfunctions. His passion, drive and devotion continues to help and transform the lives of those seeking his professional services.
Bertrand is an advocate for the best patient care interaction model and continues to educate and mentor undergraduate and new graduate physiotherapists to improve their manual therapy skills. His goals are to uphold the physiotherapy profession by guiding and mentoring junior physiotherapists in becoming highly proficient with their manual therapy techniques.
Fun Facts about Bertrand
During his spare time he enjoys exercising and keeping fit and healthy by attending cross-fit classes. He continues to be a member of F-club (Fight for Fitness Club) and trains regularly throughout the week. Bertrand is also an actor and has starred in national and international movies such as ‘Day Breakers’, ‘Crooked Business’ and ‘Dartworth’. He stepped back from acting to follow his passion as a physiotherapist and establish reputable clinics to help solve and fix injuries to the human body.
