David is a passionate physiotherapist, who has a working background in a variety of industries. Before Physiotherapy, David also spent 2 years doing volunteer work in West Africa. David enjoys playing Rugby League, Soccer and Boxing. On the weekend you might find Dave with his wife and kids, on the family farm, hiking a mountain or just curled up with a book…
David’s formal education started at the Queensland University of Technology studying Clinical Exercise Physiology. However his focus shifted to Physiotherapy which he pursued with Griffith University at the world class Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
There David graduated with his Bachelor of Exercise Science and Master of Physiotherapy, as well as being granted the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence.
Since then, David has worked with diverse patients in the musculoskeletal field. During his career, he has pursued further education in areas of interest, including lower limb tendinopathy, musculoskeletal dry needling and Level 2 Watson headache training to treat headaches and migraines.
David believes good health and a working body, is at the heart of a happy fulfilled life. David seeks not only to improve people’s pain, but to dig deeper into root causes, in order to optimise body function.
David is a firm believer in giving each patient a comprehensive assessment, just like a major car service, in order to treat all necessary issues.
David loves educating patients about how their body works and always giving hands on therapy for patients to walk out feeling better than when they arrived.
Fun Facts about David
Outside of work, David is a busy man.
He has 3 young children and an energetic Border Collie too!
David and his family own a working farm, which also offers a destination for camping and weddings. Most weekends this is where you will find him.
In the years 2011-2013, David lived in Sierra Leone and Liberia, where he performed volunteer work with his church. These years were physically very tough due to the conditions and long separation from family and country, but were invaluable to him personally.
